Accumulation of Phosphorus by Filamentous Microorganisms
نویسنده
چکیده
Many microorganisms accumulate phosphor as polyphosphates. This paper highlights the great importance of filamentous microorganisms. So far the ability to store phosphorus in volutin granules by filamentous microorganisms has not been evaluated. The aim of this research was to prove the ability to store phosphorus in volutin granules as well as to show the meaning of potassium and magnesium ions in the phosphorus uptake by filamentous microorganisms that dominate the floating scum over the bioreactors liquid surface and monocultures of bacteria. Electron microscopy and energy dispersive X–ray analysis was used to assess the composition of polyphosphate granules in filamentous bacteria.

Manures behave similar to superphosphate in phosphorus accumulation in long-term field soils
Repeated application of manures to agricultural soils could cause the accumulation of phosphorus (P) in soils. However, it is unclear if manure P can behave similar to P in soluble fertilizers in accumulation Olsen-P (0.5 mol L-1 NaHCO3 at pH 8.5) in soils. A long-term wheat-maize rotation experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of repeated application of manures on P accumulation i...
متن کاملEffects of Growth Stimulator Microbes on Growth and Ions Concentration of Stevia under Salinity Stress Conditions
Soil salinity and water deficit are major problems for development of agricultural production. In this study, effects of growth promoting microorganisms (inoculation with Piriformospora indica and two isolates of Streptomyces sp.) on the leaf yield and absorption rate of some elements in leaves and roots of stevia plant was investigated under salinity conditions for two consecutive years (2016-...
متن کاملMicrobial Phosphorus Solubilization and Its Potential for Use in Sustainable Agriculture
The use of excess conventional Phosphorus (P) fertilizers to improve agricultural productivity, in order to meet constantly increasing global food demand, potentially causes surface and ground water pollution, waterway eutrophication, soil fertility depletion, and accumulation of toxic elements such as high concentration of selenium (Se), arsenic (As) in the soil. Quite a number of soil microor...
متن کاملMore aboveground biomass, phosphorus accumulation and remobilization contributed to high productivity of intercropping wheat
Intercropping often results in increasing production than sole per unit land area, but theunderlying mechanisms are poorly understood. Plants showed different physiologicalcharacteristics in intercropping and sole. However, less information was shown the relationshipsbetween plant aboveground biomass (AB), phosphorus accumulation (PB) and remobilizationand the yield advantage. Here, field exper...
متن کاملInvestigating the Effect of Phosphate Solubilizing Microorganisms of Insoluble Phosphorus on Phosphorus Acquisition and Utilization Efficiency in Corn (Zea mays L.)
In order to investigate P acquisition efficiency (PACE) and P utilization efficiency (PUTE) of the corn in the presence of phosphate-solubilizing microorganisms (PSMs), a factorial experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design in the greenhouse. The factors were including P sources (tricalcium phosphate (TCP) and rock phosphate (RP)) and microbial inoculation (control, soluble P ...
